During two weeks, ten highly motivated teams have been working hard to identify the right business ideas, understand their customers, devise business models, and improve their persuasion skills and pitching abilities. All teams also faced continous technical and technological challenges as they had to build working prototypes of Internet of Things concepts to realise their business ideas. Together with experts and devoted mentors, they all managed to create devices with clear economic potential and well-targeted market. On the last pitching day that took place on Friday 28.08.2015 at JOSEPHS, the jury had some arduous time to select the three best teams! The jury counted two of the academy organisers, one guest from the organising committee of STARTIFY7 Trento academy on Security & Privacy, one STARTIFY7 partner from the Greek growth incubator i4G and a local VC expert from BayStartUP, the institution that runs the Bavarian network for all kind of investors that are interested in fast growing young companies. After evaluating the business potential of each competing idea, the team competence and commitment level, the quality of the one-page profile and business model and the quality of the pitch, the jury finally decided that the three winning teams that will attend the 3-days acceleration bootcamp in Brussels are:
- JAMS: A modular bracelet that allows an interactive configuration of functionalities.
- SensePro: Controlling action cameras through a number of tiny sensors which would trigger video/photo capturing in response to sudden changes in the environment.
- Heartbeats: A new way of communication for couples. Via a pair a luxury bracelets, the mutual heartbeats can be felt by each of the partners.

Congratulations to the winners and all the best to the other challengers!
